Near Perfection...

Okay, I might be exaggerating a tad bit...but he's getting there! Dax wants to know why nobody wants him.!!!



He has been hanging out in foster care for far to long and frankly is lookin' for some permanent love! Who could resist this smile?


Dax is doing GREAT- and has really calmed down with exercise, training, and rules. He is a joy to live with and is just an easy dog to be with.


He has learned that cats are good and are not for chasing- he has learned that bathroom duties only happen outside, and most importantly he has learned that people love him. He adores attention and will melt into your lap for a cuddle at a simple request. He loves to be held and is very cuddly. At home he is easy going- and will find a toy or a bone to keep himself entertained. He has discovered that the TV is fun to watch and loves the Telus commercials with the birds!

Dax has been coming to daycare to learn proper dog play and is doing great- he gets along with most other dogs and has a blast playing with his friends. He has also been learning some obedience- he can now sit and down with ease- and can even shake a paw! He has pretty decent leash manners and his recall is getting better and better.

Tawny

What's Yellow, has the most beautiful eyes ever, and wags her tail non stop????

Tawny!

(I know- that was lame...but true!)

Tawny is a 2 year old purebred Lab who by no fault of her own is looking for a new home. She comes from "field bred" lines which makes her look a little different than your typical labs. Her parents were bred to actually hunt- Tawny has shown LOTS of interest in birds and even has had some field type training done. (She listens great to a whistle!) She loves to fetch- anything- sticks, rocks, balls, birds- you throw it- and she'll fetch it!

At home Tawny is a sensitive girl who wants nothing more than to be by your side- she loves to be petted, scratched and cuddled. She melts into your side and with a little sigh closes her eyes. It is very sweet!

Tawny is good in a crate, and is housetrained. She had lived most of her life outdoors but in the past few months has been learning to be a house dog- and doing a pretty good job of it!

She gets along great with kids, cats, and other dogs. She is very playful and would love a buddy to play with in the yard.

Tawny needs a home where she will get the walks and runs she needs to keep trim and healthy- and most importantly a home where she will be loved and spoiled like she deserves! It should be easy to find her a home as she is nearly perfect! (Well, I think so anyway!)

Toby and Shadow

Meet Toby and Shadow- two of the cutest mini schnauzers around!

Shadow is 6 years old and is very sweet, and very affectionate. She loves her people and is a wonderful little dog. She is calm and laid back in the house but loves her walks. She is a typical terrier and can be fiesty and loves to play. Toby is good with other dogs, and is great with kids.



Toby is 5 years old and is one cool dude. He has a great sense of humour and is just a fun little dog to be around. He is a real go getter and likes to go for walks and chase toys. He is outgoing and is very friendly. He has been raised with kids, and likes the company of other dogs.

They are looking for a home where they will be loved, and spoiled. They both could be great family dogs- or would make great companions for a retired couple!

Gentle Giant

This is Sami- she is an Old English Sheepdog cross who is absolutely beautiful under all that hair! She is a very, very nice dog who would make a GREAT family dog. She is fabulous with kids and really adores them. Sami is three years old and is a very well mannered big dog. She doesn't jump up, is completely housetrained, is pretty good on leash and loves everyone she meets. She is the PERFECT dog :o)

Finally Happy

So Happy has settled really well into his foster home and she reports that he is a GREAT little dog. He is well behaved, easy going and loves to play. He adores his toys and can often be found playing by himself. He likes his lap time and would make a great companion for an elderly couple.

Happy

Happy is a 2 year old Maltese. Happy isn't very Happy at the moment but with a little love, security and understanding this wonderful little guy will make someone very happy.

Happy needs to go to an experienced home. He is a little nervous and will need socialising and patience to help him get over himself. His foster home reports that he is a sweet dog who is just unsure of what is expected of him. It is important with Happy that he go to a home where there are no young children. He likes older kids just fine but will not tolerate being grabbed by a toddler.

He is a playful little guy and especially likes his soft toys. He is good with other dogs, but can be intimidated by dogs bigger than him. He is used to cats and does really like people. He is friendly but needs to decide for himself if he should approach or not.

Happy's story is one that we see often. He was originally owned by a family who had no pet experience, and it wasn't long until Happy thought he was the boss. You see, even little dogs can have BIG personality! He was sold out of the paper to very caring people, but they soon realised he was too much for them. So here he is. Looking for a home where he will be treated like a dog, and taught proper manners and just general good behaviour!

Amy

Right before I left for holidays we got Amy. (who is Nyssa on Petfinder...I didn't know her name when I posted her)

She is the sweetest, most gentle little dog. She is calm, easy going and a joy to live with. She loves all people, and likes to spend her time cuddling on your lap.

I am not taking any more applications on her though- I have over 12 families interested in her already!

Away

Dax....LOVES the hose Like...really loves the hose
really, really, really loves the hosetoo bad you end up getting wet (and clean)when you play with the hose...
nothing like a good roll after a game of chasing the hose!
