So there is a funny story about his name. We have an unspoken "rule" that the Foster home usually gets to name the dog unless it already has a name or Natalie and I have named it already. Well, this dog is being fostered by Alana and her family. She happily emailed me yesterday to say that they have named him Pepper....I suggested they try something different, she politely said no. Natalie then emailed her and suggested that they name him something else (she didn't know I already had) this is the response we got
"Presidents Choice (No Name Brand). HAHAHAHAHA!"
so...I guess his name is Pepper...unless we call him Pres...or No name...
Pepper is a German Shorthair Pointer who wandered onto someones acreage. We are guessing him to be around three years old. We have no idea about his history or why such a nice dog would be just wandering around.
He is an active guy with energy to burn, but once he is excercised he is couch potatoe! (as the pictures show) He is great with people and loves everyone. He has not shied away from anyone since we have had him. He is also good with other dogs and he and his foster brother are already good buddies...
Here is what his foster mom had to say about him...
" He's quite good on the leash, pulls but not horribly. He doesn't bark (so far). He's a good eater, seems to be a little thin. Loves treats, chewys....
He has fairly huge separation issues. He's outside 5 mins and is whining at the door to be let in. I guess that goes with being homeless and alone for a while there.
Sits well but needs some obedience work for sure. He thinks he's a lap dog and cuddled with me for an hour or so. He's okay with the kids, ignores them for the most part which is fine with me. He's good in the bathtub. He was grimy.... Not perfect now but better for sure. Was beside himself with joy when Dylan got home last night (what a nice first impression)."

As we get to know him better we will have more to say, but so far pretty much the consensus is- What a Good Dog!!!!
