Piper

I got an email this morning from someone concerned about a dog. Apparently a family had adopted the dog a few months ago from the shelter- and after being evicted from their house had no where for the dog to go. The friend helping the family called the shelter to see if they would take the dog back- yes, they would....but, the dog would not be adopted out again. I wonder what that meant???!!!!
Meet Piper- I initially was told she was a boxer....We guess that she is a Rottweiler/Shepherd maybe some Airedale thrown in there...Who knows. She is an all around Mutt.
Piper is a friendly dog who likes to meet new people- she hasn't got the manners thing figured out yet but I am sure that with a little training and love she will catch on quick. She is fully housetrained, and is used to being in a crate. She loves to go on walks but needs to learn some leash manners. Piper adores people and will jump up to give you a big hug. She has a lovely personality and once she has settled down we will get to know the real Piper. Right now she is a little anxious about her life changes. She seems to be very good with male dogs- but is pushing to be an alpha female with girl dogs- she also seems to have a healthy respect for kitties. :o)

Piper is approximately one year old and has been spayed, vaccinated and will be ready for a home to call her own soon.

UPDATE:
Piper is doing great and is settling well into her foster home. She is proving herself to be a wonderful dog with a little attention and exercise. Piper LOVES to learn new things and is willing to do anything to make you happy. She is very food motivated, loves to play with toys and is just a really good girl!
