3 New Dogs and 1 old....

Each Adoption fair we invite different rescues to come and showcase some of their dogs aswell. This time one of the groups we had invited were Taber Adoption Options- which is the Taber Animal Shelter.

At the end of the day three of their dogs were still left with no applications. Rather than send them back to the shelter we took them into our system- where they can at least be in a home, and learning real life skills while waiting for their forever homes.

They are all very nice dogs- and all very adoptable. They have settled really well into their foster homes, and are ready to be adopted.

Also, on that note it is unfortunate but Seeker has come back to us. It seems that no matter how hard we screen and try to match the right dog with the right family sometimes people are just good liars. This is the case of Seekers home. Thankfully he is safe and sound, and ready to try again. He is no worse for wear and is still happy, playful and very, very handsome. His bio has been updated.

So I'd like to introduce you to the new kids on the block :o)

Duke is large but loveable!! He is a true “gentle giant” – great with other dogs, cats & kids! He is a 3.5 year old Anatolian Shepherd cross. Duke was originally found as a stray- and was never claimed. He had been at the shelter for a few months now and was getting quite depressed. Duke will require a large completely fenced yard (or farm), and lots of stimulation!! Daily exercise is very important for Duke, as he is very active!! He would make a great addition to any family, and would make a great hiking/running partner. He is sweet and is very charming. He loves everyone he meets and thinks he was a lap dog in a previous life :o)

Farley was surrendered when his owner’s other dog did not get along with him. He is a young (9 month) Border Collie. He loves to be around people- all shapes and sizes. Farley is a bit shy of other dogs, and needs time to get to know them. Once he knows them though he is perfectly fine and will happily Harley has a slightly deformed right front paw. This does not affect his ability to walk, run or play.. but it does slow him down sometimes. He may need a doggie boot in the winter, as it is more sensitive to cold weather. Harley is very good on a leash and is fully housetrained. He loves to fetch, but in typical border collie style he is equally happy doing whatever you are. He likes to lay around when the time calls for it, and would be ready to go for a walk at a moments notice. Farley is a great all around dog!

Rosco was surrendered to us because his owner could no longer care for him. He is a handsome yelow lab who has great looks, and a great personality. He is about 1.5 years old and has been neutered. Rosco is a great dog and is extremely well mannered! He is very quiet and gentle. He gets along well with other dogs, and cats too!! As Rosco has spent most of his life outdoors, he loves to play outside. He also loves going for walks. Rosco is learning basic commands such as “sit” and “down”, and is learning very quickly!!! Rosco would make a great addition to any family! He is doing great in the house and has learned about the comforts of the good life. :o) He is fantastic with all people and is a happy go lucky kind of guy! He likes to play fetch, and as with all labs likes to play in the water.
