Turk, Snickers and Reeece all found loving, forever homes in the past week. We have made the tough decision that the rest of Ruthie's puppies are being transfered to a different rescue. Unfortunately we just don't have the foster homes for all of them. We are debating keeping one or maybe two back but we are concerned that we (or rather the foster home) will be stuck with them for a while. Generally the closer we get to christmas the less adoptions we do...and that continues on after christmas aswell...So wish them all good luck!
We also are now getting ready for another litter of puppies. I am not sure if any of you remember Sofie- she is a Golden Retriever who was previously known as Kokanee. We rescued her from a kill pound a few months ago. She was coming out of season so our vet reccomended we wait to spay her (with her age, and how messy her heat was he was concerened about a messy surgery) Anyway, Sofie was adopted by her foster home shortly after her arrival. Bobbi phoned a few weeks ago to tell us that she thinks Sofie is pregnant. We saw her on Saturday and yes indeed, she is pregnant...she looks like she swallowed a watermelon...or two. We will keep you all posted on how she is doing. She is an old girl but otherwise healthy so she should manage just fine. Hopefully there are only a few pups in there....
