Dory had her trial overnight visit this past weekend and things are going great. She is settling in well and I predict will have her new family wrapped around her paw in no time!
Rika had her first overnight visit last night, and today the decision will be made. Rika is already in love with her new family (and vice versa) but Rika isn't an easy dog as she always wants attention and with a young baby at home as well it can be pretty overhwelming. I will keep everyone posted though!
Kimi has an adoption in the works as well so hopefully she will be settling into her new life in the next week or so.
We have lots of dogs waiting to come in and now all of our foster homes are full again. Here is an updated list of available dogs
Bo- male, lab shepherd x. Bo is doing great in his foster home and they report that he is easy to live with, loves to hang out at your feet, and is just an over all good boy. He is not demanding, and really will make someone a great companion. He is great with other dogs, and likes cats.
Roux- female, shiba inu x heeler. Roux is the little dog that was found abandoned down at the river bottom. We are guessing her breed but from appearances, and personality I don't think we are far off the mark. We think she is about 6 or 7 months old. She is a delicate little princess and demands to be treated as such! Roux is very affectionate and loves kids, she is still unsure of new dogs but has become good buddies with her foster brother Buck. Roux has caught on to housetraining and is crate trained as well. She will make an amazing little pet!
Lexx- 2 year old Shih Tzu cross. This little guy is super cute, and will make a great pet. Lexx has not had an easy life and will need patience and love to bring out the best in him.
Spud- 2 year old Shih Tzu cross. Spud is a bundle of fun and is a great little dog. He loves people, is good with other dogs. He is housetrained, and crate trained.
Lucy- female, 4 year old Chocolate Lab. Lucy is a great dog who has not had a very good life so far. She was left outside all the time and rarely got much attention. Despite her bad beginnings she is still a great dog. She loves to fetch, has a great sense of humour and is an easy dog to live with. She is most definitely an alpha female though so she will not be adopted out to a home with another bossy dog. One bossy dog per household is enough!!! Lucy has possession issues (with other dogs) and will need a firm but fair approach to training.
Eddie- male, 5 year old Chocolate Lab. Eddie has lived in the lap of luxery his whole life and is accustomed to the good life...the couch, frequent walks, lots of cuddles, you get the picture. He is a great dog who has no issues. He is fantastic with kids, loves other dogs, and is respectful of cats!!! He is an avid fetcher and will fetch anything you throw. Typical of most labs he loves to swim. Eddie would be a great addition to just about any home!
Ozzy- male, 8 month old Corgi cross. Ozzy has it all- good looks and a great personality. This little guy is housetrained, great with people, very good with other dogs and is just a great guy. He is a very handsome little guy who is a great size for a smaller house or yard. Despite his small stature he is still an active dog who will require frequent walks and runs.
In the wings waiting to come in:
Rusty- male, 4 year old Golden Retriever. We will have more information about him when we get him settled into a foster home. WE STILL NEED A FOSTER HOME FOR THIS GUY!
Not named yet- 16 week old Lab x puppy. His owners are moving overseas and can't take the little guy. WE STILL NEED A FOSTER HOME FOR THIS GUY!
Boss- 9 month old Lab x Pitbull cross. Boss is a fantastic dog who is as striking in personality as he is in looks!!! WE STILL NEED A FOSTER HOME FOR THIS GUY!
