It's easy to get discouraged in rescue, to write off the entire human race as thoughtless, heartless, and cruel. Those that have been in rescue longer don't even ask "how could they?" anymore just "what can we do now?". Then you get reminded that there are good people out there, people that care, people that still ask "how could they?" Those people are you!

A few days ago I posted about Bonney, a beautiful black puppy who has been in rescue since birth, who hadn't found a home. The response was truly amazing and my head was just buzzing when I heard that we had received 5 applications on her! I just couldn't wait to share the news with those of you who have been following her story.

It's because of people like you that the rescue team here at PDCR has the spirit to continue. Those families that adopted Bonney's litter mates, who came back to comment on how wonderful her brothers and sister have been, those who posted about their own black dogs, those just following along and sending encouraging words. And especially to those who saw the potential in Bonney and applied to have her added to your own families.

I would just like to send out a big thank-you to all of you for giving the team here a needed lift. Without you there would be PDCR!
