Judging Aimee

The verdict is in and Aimee is guilty of being a great mother. But she has done her time, her puppies are weaned and she is ready to be free for the first time in her life. Do you want to help her make bail?




Aimee is a very sweet dog and loves to play. She gets along great with other dogs, but if they won't play she can be found throwing the ball for herself!

She is learning leash manners and that it is ok to be left alone. Aimee isn't use to being contained so her foster mom is working on crate training.

Aimee is great in the house and is fully potty trained. She has been a great mother and now she wants to be a great friend.

Aimee's puppies are growing, and almost ready to go to their forever homes! Meet the Rock and Roller's

River (female) - happy, outgoing, and playful, loves to be loved



Zack (male) - quiet soul, loves to curl up in your lap

Syd (male) - a mix of both playfulness and quiet cuddles

Billie (male) - the follower, likes to follow his brothers and sisters, would do well in a multi-dog home

Gwen (female) - is confident and shows her shyer brother the ropes

Stevie (female) - I think she is the coolest looking of the bunch! Very sweet and cuddly but also outgoing and playful

Jovi - Adopted - But this picture was just too cute not to share

We also have Chester and Dexter both males, Chester is another puppy who would do well with other dogs, as he loves to wrestle with his brothers and sisters. Dexter is a lover and wants to be with his people.

These puppies will be at our adoption fair March 21st at Paws on the Run Doggy Daycare if not already adopted, so come out for cuddles!

The pups are four weeks old now and are doing great- at this age their personalities are starting to emerge, and they are active and playful. Here is what their foster mom has to say about them

"The weather was warm today, so I brought the pups out for their first outdoor exploration. .. and pictures of course.

Personalities are starting to emerge..

The Boys.

Chester - The first to walk, to bark, to run. Confident and playful, prefers playing with puppies to cuddling with humans.

Dexter - A heart-breaker who likes people and likes to lick your face. He's one of the smaller pups, but is the most coordinated.

Billie - A shy-guy, who assesses the situation before joining in.

Syd - Cuddles one moment, chewing on your toe the next and then off to play!

Zach - A quiet fellow, who likes napping over any other activity.

The Girls

River - Happy-go-lucky and ready to join in the fun. Loves back scratches.

Alice - Loves to be loved. Climbs into my lap, settles right in! Doesn't play much with the other puppies.

Gwen - Confident, curious and self-assured. Enjoys coming for a quick cuddle and then off again.

Jovi - The smallest by far, but also the most adventurous. She can be focused and determined.

Stevie - Stevie the sweetie! Among the first to start approaching people. She enjoys cuddling and will seek people out.

And as for their mum... Aimee is such a great dog! She's so sweet-natured. She's calm/quiet inside and is active outside. When she's happy, her whole body wiggles!"

Rock 'N Roll

Someone did a good deed the other day. Instead of turning a blind eye to a starving, abandoned mom and her newborn pups they did the responsible thing and took them to the vet. From there, they've come to us.

We really, really aren't set up to raise yet another litter of pups. But how can you say no?

\Raising a litter is hard, smelly, and time consuming work. Puppies require a lot of care and clean up, and Momma requires both emotional and physical support.

The fun part of a litter of pups is coming up with the names! It was a hard choice but in the end we decided to name them after lead singers in Rock 'N Roll bands. We needed 11 names- which is alot!!!!

So we'd like to introduce you to Aimee and her babies.

Aimee is a Husky/Border Collie cross and is very, very sweet. She is friendly and is one of those dogs that you just can't help but to fall in love with. She is young- maybe 9 months old, and is already a mom. She is doing a great job with her babies, but is very skinny trying to feed 10 hungry bellies.

We will have more information on her in a few days. She won't be available for adoption until her pups have been weaned, but we will be taking applications on her.

On to the pups. We have named them, but at this age we can't tell much about their personalities. I must say though that this is one colorful litter of pups!!! I would say there is a lot of husky in them for sure. Who knows who the daddy was, maybe a border collie or a shepherd??? We'll never know but the pups are sure cute!!!

Aren't they the cutest bunch of pups????? Some of them are smooth like a border collie, and some will have husky type hair.

As mentioned above raising a litter of pups takes a lot of time and supplies! We are looking for donations of bedding (towels, sheets, blankets), lean cuts canned food, and Acana Puppy food. Aimee is pretty skinny and will need good quality food to be able to take care of the pups. If you have something you'd like to donate please call Natalie at 403 795 2599 and leave a message.
